This deck is focused on getting strong allies in play and buffing them and I wanted community thoughts on it I’m making starter decks that are centered on one playstyle for my friends there will be 2 justice decks 2 aggression decks 1 more leadership deck and 1 protection deck that will be shown off this way.

@jrs2011 here are my thoughts:

  • you've picked some good allies with diverse traits, which would work well with Strength in Diversity. I'd probably replace 1-2 X-men with Vivian and Okoye if you're trying to maximize diversity. But if you're going with this playstyle, I'd include the other two copies of Strength in Diversity so that you can play it more than once per deck pass
  • If you want to keep allies on the table, having more copies of Rapid Response and Reinforced Suit would be good. Maybe First Aid as well. If you're playing this way, though, it doesn't make sense to keep Go Down Swinging, Last Stand, or Save the Day, because you're unlikely to be done with your allies when you have these cards in hand.
  • alternatively, if you want to lean into playing allies cheap and then discarding them for benefit, you'd need to ditch the upgrades and probably go tribal with Uncanny X-Men, then including more copies of Go Down Swinging and Save the Day and "You Got This!".

So ultimately, I guess I feel like this deck is trying to do all the things leadership does, and will end up doing none of them very well. Statistically, the more cards you add the less likely you are to see what you need when you need it. I would personally pare things down and hone in on a particular leadership playstyle (voltron, ally swarm, discarding allies, recursion) to make things more consistent.

But having fun is the most important thing, and this will probably do just fine for most standard encounters!

@Footballcoach thanks for the feedback I’ll definitely change some of the events out and I hope you’ll check out some of my other decks.
