Rich girl (Jubilee Leadership)
A seemingly regular X-Men leadership deck with a minor twist.
What's in the deck
Let's highlight some cards by category:
Supports and upgrades
- Utopia, Uncanny X-Men: have more and healthier allies and put them into play cheaper
- X-Mansion: heal yourself or allies
- Danger Room, Danger Room Training: strengthen your more expensive allies so you can enjoy their company even longer
- Resource Reserve: store one of your Plasmoid Energies, either for a future turn or for one of your teammates
Allies
- Beast: almost pays for himself and allows you to find different resources for your superpowers
- Kid Omega: a possible lifesaver when confronted with a sudden minion or side scheme swarm
- M: helps with chunky minions, especially in combination with Wolverine
- Storm: can move threat to Shopping Spree
Events
- Mutant Education, X-Men Instruction: recur your events, resources and allies
- Game Time: great for your trained allies
What's not in the deck
Since Jubilee's events want to be paid with different resources, I didn't include Deft Focus or X-Gene: a discount would be counterproductive. Plus rich girls don't need discounts :)
I also considered some other cards (most notably Pixie, Moira MacTaggert and Team Training) that certainly would not be out of place, but just did not fit anymore! Feel free to include them if you don't mind going over 40 cards.
General game plan
Try to get some supports and upgrades out. Depending on your play style you might prioritize different ones, but they're all useful. Play some allies: the cheap ones for support, the more expensive ones to keep around. You can chump block with the cheaper allies or defend with Jubilee: I tend to do the latter unless I really need the next turn.
Flip a lot: this helps clearing Shopping Spree, keeping allies (at the very least Wolverine) and yourself alive and gives you an opportunity to shuffle cards from the discard pile back into your deck. Most of Jubilee's events help with confusing and stunning non-stalwart enemies.
Final thoughts
I've been able to beat Magneto on expert with this deck (in solo) so I have found it to be both strong and fun. I hope you'll enjoy it too!
