A Trio of (Greatly Responsible) Trespassers
This modified deck was created in response to Boomguy and LazyTitan's challenge to use Great Responsibility during their Winning Hand video (See Episode 68 - With Great Power...)
Here's the link to the original deck if anyone cares to see the details after it was thoroughly playtested in standard and expert against Klaw; Unus; Red Skull, and Magneto: A Trio of Trespassers:
Removed from original deck:
- Jemma Simmons
- Overwatch
- One copy of Counterintelligence
- Superpower Training
Added to create this deck:
- 3 copies of Great Responsibility
VILLAINS TESTED AGAINST to see the impact of adding Great Responsibility (3 games total; undefeated): standard and expert Magneto then expert Unus
Results: After defeating Magneto in two very controlled games, I faced expert Unus because I wanted to see how the deck would respond to the high level of risk involved with threat that could immediately lose the game on the main scheme, while also dealing with the effects of threat on the permanent side scheme Gene Pool. Just like against Magneto, this deck kept the game against Unus in complete control.
Though the original deck was quite good, I was often put in risky situations with the previous build, where I could potentially lose the game with a bit of bad luck. I wanted to see if Great Responsibility would offer a bit of insurance and do a better job of managing risk.
I think this a better (and more fun) deck than the original, while also giving the player more interesting decisions to make. Because Great Responsibility can trigger with ANY addition of threat and on any scheme, it can be used strategically in a variety of situations, not just when the villain schemes.
This allowed Nick Fury to remain in Stealth Suit Form and risk possibly breaking the main scheme but then instead taking damage, removing more of the luck factor.

This is a cool variant! It’s fun to see how the card change impacts the deck. I love getting to see both side by side
