Well, I’ve never played X-23 yet but more importantly, neither has my son who wants to play this weekend at a multi-table event. So here goes…
Seems pretty clear that constant readying of her is the way to go. So, we'll begin with Combat Training obviously and hell, let’s give her some guns with Hand Cannon to give her some extra tappy-tappy smash-smash.
Toe to Toe seems a good option; if Honey Badger isn’t out and you have a weaker attacking enemy, you can ready up for a cheap hit and smash back a plenty.
And so onto Allies; a smorgasbord of X-Men covering some THW, attacks, healing and blocking. Absolutely worth buffing them up as much as you can with Boot Camp and #AttackTraining, with Danger Room and Utopia, X-Mansion, X-Men Instruction and Game Time to recycle and heal.
No real need for loads of Attack events; increase longevity with Endurance and keep her coming!
Update - really successful play of this deck by both my son and I. Managed to keep Wolverine and Honey Badger in the game for a long time - Boot Camp and Attack Training worked wonders. Triage also came in and healed up one of them too. Had a wonderful combo of readying from her four times; once from her ability, then once from Utopia (enter Triage), then twice from Honey Badger (with Game Time), boosted by Hand Cannon. Lovely.
Giving Honey Badger attack training is really fun! Especially with game time.
