"DORMAMU, I'VE COME FOR TO GET BACK MY HEARING AIDS." -Wanda, probably.

Wanda is an old hero when it comes to this game. She's been thoroughly explored in Aggression and Justice. Hell, I think I saw a Lady Wanda-pool once, or I was hallucinating. Anyways, Wanda has a ton of potential thanks to her utterly insane kit. The one aspect I haven't seen her explored in, however, is protection. So, let's see what silly things Wanda has gotten in modern times....

First of all, Basic Spell is a bonkers card. I absolutely wanted to try it and Bloodgem with her. The BS has a bunch of utility, and the gem is more resources!!! The gem does cost HP though, so I originally was gonna just add First Aid and be done. Then..... something crazy occured to me.

Bloodgem and Quincarrier give pretty good resource support, and The Sorcerer Supreme gives you a bigger hand size which is technically more resources. Why not use this to our advantage? We can use Second Wind and bigger green allies than usual!! So now, we have a Wanda deck that can actually survive, something Wanda hasn't always been great at!!

Brother Voodoo and Warpath allow us to get our Wanda events easier and even use them in the villain phase (that's right Ronan, you DON'T get your crazy boost!) to make the fight easier. Clea is just an easier blocker and helps with thwarting a bit, while Victor Mancha kinda doesn't know how to die. (Plus he REALLY likes SW.) Northstar rounds out the team by giving us more boost control, giving us an absolutely obnoxious deck. Oh, and Establish Perimeter can toughen anyone up.

Now, I know you've been really curious about The Gardener and are screaming, "THAT CARD IS BAD." In most cases, I would agree. Big G however helps us out by giving the Villain a zero boost, one we can potentially flip to with hero power. Plus, if we manipulate the Villain deck right, it's a free heal and a dodge of something like Shadow of the Past so why not try it? Sure, Hex Bolt hates it, but who cares when we have 4 of them thangs?
