Welcome to the X-MenForce Baseball League.

(Sponsored by Worthington Industries.)

Get Ready for the Uncanny X-Force Team! They've been Training and Exercising all season to refine their Flying Formation and Air Supremacy.

Meet the team:

Coach | Moira MacTaggert

• Pitcher | Cannonball, pretty much invulnerable while he's pitching.

• 1st Base | Sunspot, flushes out the enemy team.

• 2nd Base | Hope Summers, takes the best skills from her teammates.

• 3rd Base | Psylocke, home-run slugger (sleeps with the outfielder).

• Outfield | Angel, funds baseball leagues when he's bored

Game plan: Manage the board with Angel's identity events while setting up your star player: Cannonball. He should very normally take no damage from activating, which means we attach Inspired to him and target him with Get Ready.

Cool micro-synergy: Metamorphosis + Moira MacTaggert

Get Inspired and step up to the plate!

Edits:

-1x Team Training -1x The Triskelion

I like the Inspire + Cannonball/Psylocke version of Angel, I'd recommend Sidearm as well in the deck. It gives them good finishing power on minions/villains and allows them to attack into Retaliate without fear.

Also, consider Command Teams over Get Ready/Flying Formation. Command Team is cheaper than Flying Formation for the same general payoff and more deck space efficient than Get Ready while being just as resource efficient.

Lastly, perhaps consider Cloud 9 as another good enabler for your Aerial characters. Especially in decks with a lot of ready effects, her +1 Thwart can go a long way each turn.

These are all entirely valid recommendations, thank you.

I wish I could find room for Sidearm, I want to include it now. As for Command Team, though, I would only consider replacing Get Ready with it. But, in the end, I decide not to because this deck already has such a high curve, and I enjoy being able to cantrip out Get Ready when it's just an extra card.

I feel it's necessary to keep Flying Formation because of the Archangel passive, supporting Cannonball's passive, and the Alliance has actually come in pretty useful. My other teammates will, with some frequency, have 1 extra resource in hand.

I definitely agree Cloud 9 is a great synergy card for this archetype, however! I've built the Cloud 9 deck in Captain Marvel already (with Sky Cycle!). This is specifically an Uncanny X-Force deck, and while I could run X-Force Recruit, it would throw off the deck's consistency. Uncanny X-Force in essence already serves Cloud 9's purpose (and lets me nuke side schemes).

do you need The Triskelion with only 4 allies? are you planning to keep them all out the whole game? maybe someone other than Sunspot would make sense for 1st base?

Mission Leader here is really great. i keep overlooking it cos of the lack of soldier trait, but it's just a 1-resource discount for soldiers. it definitely belongs in way more decks

Cannonball and Psylocke definitely stay out the whole game. I'm kind of back and forth on Triskelion. Current version replaces it with a Sidearm.

I love Mission Leader, especially when those extra cards go to Flying Formation.
