Deck for Solo Champions League Season 13, Round 5:

  • Round 5 - Tower Defense + Streets of Mayhem (01/22/23-02/04/23)
  • Difficulty: Expert
  • Hero: Ant-Man, Black Widow, Spectrum, Vision, or Wasp
  • Aspect: Leadership
  • Campaign Elements: + 3 Damage to Avengers Tower

This deck was initially inspired by a Brian-V Sneak Attack deck, where the piece I really liked was abusing Rapid Response with Bucky and Dum Dum. So I shifted it to use Regroup (for White Tiger and cheap Bucky recursion) and here we are.

Having the tower flip to the damaged side is a pretty big hit in hero score, so I went with Natasha, knowing that the games might be slow but that I could minimize my chances of having the tower flip. And this is exactly how it played out, with a nearly 13-turn average, but managing to keep the tower healthy every time.

  • Game 1: Pulled a double Proxima's Power on T2 when I flipped down to Alter-Ego, adding 3 damage to the tower because her main scheme popped. I then pulled Sewer Tunnels on T3 and it stuck around slowing me down until T14!. Rain Fire was too much of a threat to allow me to flip back to Alter-Ego for a long time, so I had to hide behind a Grappling Hook and Target Acquired to avoid the tower going to the damaged side. Finally won on T15 with a clean board, undamaged tower and 20 health on the hero side, but that was a slow game of patience.
  • Game 2: I was pinned down by Sewer Tunnels again for much of the game, but this time had the tower damage under control so could flip every turn. Won on turn 10 with a healthy tower, clean board and 14 HP on the hero side. Dum Dum Dugan did a serious amount of work on the last few turns, getting brought back by Rapid Response over and over again.
  • Game 3: 13 turn win with a healthy tower, clean board and 14 HP on the hero side. Saw an early Rain Fire that I couldn't cancel so only flipped to Alter-Ego when I needed to regenerate my Grappling Hook.
