Gamora For Dummies:

  • Gamora just wants to hack and slash. Can you help her? What better way to get out her aggression then to have all resources? Every card added in this deck (except Hulk for obvious reasons) is a . Other Heroes can have burn down decks where it's a race to see if the villain can scheme out before the Hero can kill them.

  • Gamora is different. She can thwart well (2) with her Hero power. She can thwart with Crosscounter, Forward Momentum and Set the Pace. Her Finesse ability also lets her thwart once per phase after she plays an attack event. Oh, man, will you play attack events. 25 of them, in fact. So, while she burns down the villain the main scheme should be pretty clear, too.

  • This deck is built to do tons of damage from the first card, and not stop until the villain is dead.

What do all these cards get me?

  • Blade and Jarnbjorn will always have a target for their attack. Since there are 22 attack events, Jarnbjorn should be pretty useful for extra cards.

  • Concussive Blow and Tackle will always generate the three extra damage.

  • Surprise Attack will always attack for 4.

  • You'll always have 3 resources in a hand to get Drop Kick to stun and give an extra card.

  • Hulk will almost always do 2 extra damage when he attacks.

  • All of that is before you add in Keen Instincts and Martial Prowess for events. Helicarrier will help get that extra event off per round.

  • If you can do two attacks per round, that means 1 thwart and 2 damage with Gamora's Sword

Gameplay:

  • Just hack and slash. Thwart with your Hero power on almost every turn. Add in supports and upgrades when you can. Even if you don't, you'll still probably win.

  • When the board is clear, and you have Conditioning Room in play, flip to Alter Ego. Because you have 25 events, you have a really good shot at having the top card be a thwart/attack event. Don't forget Conditioning Room's added event. That should get you to 8 cards each time you flip.

  • Stun and confuse as much as possible. Block minions and villain attack with Groot., but mainly do tons of damage.

  • Attack! Attack! Attack!
