...of course I can do better!
Wolverine can rush in protection aspect? Well, hold my chimichanga and watch while I put maximum effort into setting these green cards on fire! Yes, this deck uses the wombo combo of Maximum Effort and This Card is Fire. Boring, right? NO! Mismanaging our hit points and not controlling threat on the main scheme can throw the proverbial blind woman's cane into the works. That's how you go from hero to zero.
Weasel, where's my Symbiote Suit?! Card priority numéro uno is the symbiote suit. We need hit points and hand size, pronto. Mulligan hard for it (no, not that one...). Defensive Conditioning and Endurance (how did that guy's picture get in here?!) add bonus hit style points.
We ideally want to be at maximum possible hit points with at least one copy of Maximum Effort and This Card is Fire in hand. However, things don't always work out that way. For those times when we have the "wom-", but not the "-bo", in hand, we need either all of our hit points or just 1 hit point. We have the cards to manage that, dear reader.
We'll spend time in alter-ego to visit the Chimichanga Truck, and maybe Dr. Sinclair when we're feeling lonely. We're also going to Chuck's night school for some Mutant Education. Always Assess the Situation and stay Ready for a Fight. Those villains can be tricky!
In hero form, a well-timed Momentum Shift or Taunt can put the villain (and our hit points) right where we want them. Sometimes we want to take a moment to Face the Past and engage in a bit of self-reflection (I regret nothing!).
That's the gist of what's needed to pilot this deck. There's more nuance to managing those hit points, but I don't have the time to explain it all. I have other places to be. You'll figure it out.
I haven't taken DP out for a hot minute. I'm a sucker for a few quick rush games to fill out my marvelchampionstracker.com logs. I'm in.
