A deck balanced for both solo and 2-player expert games.
The main focus here is, of course, Gunboat Diplomacy - every aspect ally in this deck is an X-Men with at least 2 THW. Combined with Psylocke, that gives you at least 5 damage and 1 ally HP saved for just 2 ER. With Heroic Intuition and Mission Training in play, that turns into 7 damage for 2 ER - and if you clear out a Lay the Trap at the same time, that’s 12 damage for 4 ER. Not too shabby for a Justice deck.
For economy we lean on Face the Past, One Way or Another, Skilled Investigator, Team-Building Exercise, basic doubles, and Cerebro- which also lets us toolbox our allies (or even loop Professor X).
Under Surveillance ensures we can safely go alter-ego even in solo, especially against villains with steady or stalwart. This gives us consistent access to the powerful X-supports, with Cerebro+ Danger Room guaranteeing a 3 THW X-Men ally whenever needed.
Children of the Atom isn’t crucial, but it lets us trigger Utopiaon Psylocke herself, not just on allies.
The deck works well solo, but really shines in multiplayer – especially paired with another X-Men hero. In that case, you can happily leave the boring job of punching to your partner and focus on what truly matters: thwart, thwart… and a bit of ally support. Honorary X-Men on Psylocke is especially great since it lets us trigger Utopia even on the Alter-ego side, benefiting from Danger Room at the same time.
