Let's be honest. Version 1 is tough due to the 4 hand size on hero form. So instead, we are going to stay on alter-ego until we have enough counters to get to Version 2, and perhaps even Version 3!
Disguise is going to be our best friend. Allowing us to remove 2 threat on alter-ego, Disguise plus our Allies will keep the threat at bay until we are good to flip.
Stage 1 (Engine and Progress Counters):
- Mulligan for Disguise and Ingenuity
- Don't sleep on Snowguard, 3 THW is huge!
- Play Ronnie Williams asap
Stage 2 (Finishing Touches):
- Don't be afraid to flip up
- Continue engine build in alter-ego
- Good time to play Photon Blasters and Propulsion Jets
Stage 3 (Ready to Rumble):
- Rarely need to flip down at this point
- New and Improved is fantastic to ready up and give ourselves tough
- Still prioritize Fly Over and Photon Beam as they give counters for more damage
I tend to forgo my blasters and jets until after my first shuffle. This has allowed me to get Avengers Mansion, Champions Mobile Bunker, and Tony Stark A.I. online earlier while I'm still getting up to Version 2 or 3. Between these 3 supports, I can fly through my deck to either get blasters and jets back, or to prioritize her identity specific cards which are the real stars of the show.
As I mentioned above, once I've reached Version 3, I've rarely had to flip down. "Go for Champions!" and New and Improved protect us from taking damage, and since we cycle through the deck so fast, we can often repeatedly play them.
