I was going to include "Anticipation" x3 so she could just eat a Minion, ready, eat a Minion, ready, eat a Minion, but the deck got too cluttered.
A survival deck, with no staples at all. No double resources. No Nick Fury. NO HEALS (outside the kit, Angel's Aerie was in contention, and Dr. Sinclair also esp for status removal. Some odder/less played Protection cards. Sure Taunt is great and common, but not so many the rest.
You want her to have "Armored Vest" and "Spider Reflexes". Ghost-Spider chump blocks early on and gets Web back. Gwen grabs your Reflexes if you don't have them yet. You probably want her "Spider Claws" for the next go or "Albert Moon" if not. Jonah maybe if you're facing a lot of Side Schemes.
Speaking of Schemes, Silk herself can just Thwart. Why a GENIUS only has 1 THW is beyond me, but she doesn't need to do anything particularly special on her turn. Do whatever you need to keep the board safe.
Jocasta should get "Desperate Defense" if possible so you can Ready from defending.
If Silk is sitting with the boss' 4 cards, and Reflexes, and Vest, she's at 8 DEF. The +2 from Desperate gets her to 10 easy. Which is safe enough for most bosses. If you want to be safe, that's what "Expert Defense" is for, +3 per use for 0 cost.
You can ALSO use "Expert Defense" to just slam the enemy with "Stop Hitting Yourself". If you got "Stop Hitting Yourself" and x3 "Expert Defense" you can deal a counterattack of 19 damage on the enemy's turn!
Silk's main problems are twofold: Needs more cards, needs more Resources. MOST of the Protection cards cost 0 or 1, a few 2 and Jocasta is 3. "Taunt", "Unflappable" and "Change of Fortune" can get you extra card draws - the last two can get you extra card draws EVERY TURN. Who needs "Avengers Mansion" when you're potentially getting 3 draws a turn?
SIlk herself should have 6 ATK with her Claws and good tucks. So Counter-Punch becomes a 0 cost 6 Damage card.
A combo I like, and for 1 cost: Spider-Tingle and "Return the Favor". Return is 0 cost, you reveal a treachery, Tingle cancels it for 1 cost (and 1 damage to Gwen ideally) and SILK GETS TO TUCK IT. Let's get rid of all the nasty Treachery cards, deal 5 damage to the enemy AND feed her tuck engine.
That's why "Anticipation" was originally in here also. Minion control and nomnomnom for Tucks.
Hell, with this deck (esp if you put in Anticipation) you may need to go to Alter-Ego just to toss tucks to draw MORE cards!
And speaking of AE, with 4 cards Tucked, "Albert Moon" can heal her for 4, plus 3 for her REC. So she can go from 3 to full HP in one flip and heal.
This is as of yet untested, but i see potential in it.
You MAY wish to consider some options. If you don't want the 3x Taunt or the 3x Counter-Punch, though not sure why, but still, you could try:
"Leading Blow" - will be a 0 cost card, but with 4 Tucks, she's at 6 ATK, since no Encounter card I'm aware of has that many Boost symbols on it, it'll always go off, giving you a free Ready.
"What Doesn't Kill Me" - 2 Cost, Ready+Heal 2. It's fine.
If you want to trade out "Desperate Defense" for some reason, the other "+2 DEF and get a bonus if you took no damage" cards are:
"Never Back Down" - lets you Stun the enemy, but IMO Readying yourself is likely better.
"Not Today" - removes 2 Threat from any scheme. This is only fine if you have it on Jocasta. Cause at 2x (assuming you're replacing the x2 Desperate Defenses) you're only getting 4 threat removed. Readying yourself is almost guaranteed to be better.
"Riposte" - deals 3 damage to the attacker. Now THIS can be funny! Get yourself some nice 8 'base' DEF, play 3 Expert Defense for +9 (0 cost) and a "Stop Hitting Yourself!" (2 cost), then play one (OR BOTH) "Riposte" and that's +2 DEF and 3 attack per Riposte (1 cost). So 8 DEF+2 from Riposte+3 Experts for 19 DEF, which becomes 19 DAMAGE with "Stop Hitting Yourself!" which becomes 22 damage with a single Riposte (27 with both, since you get +2 DEF and 3 Damage from Riposte), then if you had Counter-Punch that's another 6 for 0 (if you got 4 proper Tucked cards) per CP. So if you got Riposte or "Stop Hitting Yourself" under jocasta, the other Riposte, 3 Expert Defenses, 3 Counterpunches that's a potential 27+18 damage on a COUNTER, for 45 damage. I do believe no enemy at 2 players has that many HP but not sure.
Noir's there to help with the Tingle/Return the Favor combo and sit on Treacheries we don't care much about. IE stuff from the Standard you're using, or Expert, or a Mod set, so Cindy can keep holding the main boss' cards.

From the hall of heroes website under rulings questions from 1.0-1.4 rules reference. Spider-Man Noir can place a treachery underneath him if any effects on the treachery resolved. He could not do so if ALL effects on the treachery were canceled, which is what “I Don’t Think So!” would do to a revealed treachery. Some player cards only cancel “When Revealed” effects but wouldn’t affect keywords like Surge or Incite X on those treacheries. If those keywords resolved, Spider-Man Noir could target those cards. Samer ruling would affect Silk tucking a treachery of she cancels it with spider tingle. |
Defense cards are neat. Cool with her spider reflexes. Counter-Punch would only hit for 2 though. Spider Claws boosts the attack stat only when making a basic attack, and Counter-Punch is an event attack. With Spider-Man Noir he can only tuck cards if the cards effect resolves, so if the whole card effect is canceled with Spider-Tingle then he doesn't get it unfortunately. He can tuck encounter cards that resolve some other way such as incite or surge, even if the when revealed is canceled.
