X-23 finally joins the X-Men team leading a team of very powerful mutants, but for the mission to be successful we need to make some preparations.
Your priorities at the beginning are to acquire Children of the Atom and Uncanny X-Men. If you don't get them at the beginning of the game, use Forge for the X-Men supports and Build Support for Uncanny X-men (you can play even if you are not an X-Men, you just won't be able to take advantage of the full effect. As soon as you have the chance use Honorary X-Men, this card is essential for the functioning of the deck, allowing Laura Kinney to be considered X-Men and if you have to discard Children of the Atom you will continue with the X-Men trait.
Then try to put Utopia and Sisterhood on the board, this is an X-Men deck but also a Honey Badger recursion deck, since thanks to Uncanny it becomes a 1 cost card so when we activate Sisterhood we will effectively be spending 2 cards to pay for it, not to mention that you can discount it with The X-Jet or Team-Building Exercise (It is included in the deck to be used to discount all X-Men cards from the hand, it does not work to pay allies coming from Make the Call).
Keep gaining activations with Phoenix-> Honey Badger and "You Got This!" on near-dead allies. Using Adrenaline Rush and Claw Mastery to pump up your attacks.
Even if Gabby is grounded with Self-Isolation, the other X-Men will cover for her in generating activations.
Team Overview
Beak and Forge - Cheap and reliable, you will be able to use it to activate Utopia, in my experience its ability can be activated easily in this deck helping to control the villain's threat and forge remains useful after you get all the supports in the field, if necessary sacrifice it for "You Got This!".
Cyclops and Gambit - They are there to deal damage and eliminate the boss if possible, if you are lucky Gambit will be able to get your obligation.
Triage and Phoenix - They are our support to keep Gabby alive and kicking, in case of emergency Triage can cure X-23 with the new X-Men status.
Pixie - The only ally in the deck with a play from hand effect but will be used to recover allies and play them with the Team-Building Exercise discount.
Professor X - More activations and if you need a confuse in a pinch. You can activate X-23, Laura or Honey Badger depending on the need.
Edit: Add another copy of Children of the Atom in place of Beak or Specialized Training to have a better chance of being able to play it and make the deck run smoothly.

Dec 09, 2024I took this up against Morlock Seige with Zero Tolerance and the Brotherhood. It's a fun deck, especially when you get the supports out. Children of the Atom and Uncanny X-Men is powerful with X-23 because of her damage output and cheaper costed cards! The only thing i'd be curious about is how to make it a bit more consistent with Children of the Atom. I played the scenario a few times, and in a couple of them, Children of the Atom was buried. Forge was nice for me to pick back up Utopia and The X-Jet if they came too early, but Children of the Atom isn't traited, so he wasn't able to grab it. Either way, when I got Children of the Atom early, it was killer. This deck is legit awesome. My only thought would be to potentially exchange Specialized Training or Beak for a second copy of Children of the Atom. That way you have three ways of getting it to make it more consistent (or two ways if people are nervous about using Build Support to find it). Also, I loved the Phoenix -> Honey Badger combo. |

I'm still trying to make the combo where I can use Cyclops->"You Got This!"->Make the Call->Cyclops it's possible if I have all 3 in my hand and the generators on the table but I'll try later in another deck that's easier to activate the sequence. |
It’s cool how much you can do with slots that are usually reserved for resources! I’m really interested in trying this out! Love the different synergies called out here
