LACK OF SUBTLETY · 1045
Once again I am borrowing from TeamCanadaHockey2002's excellent Brute Force Arrows to apply the ideas to another hero. This time, one of my favorites, Spectrum.
For those unfamiliar, the goal is to build up your ATK stat with Brute Force and Combat Training and then avoid making basic attacks. Instead relying on attack cards and letting your improved ATK stat power up Quick Strike and Smash the Problem and The Best Defenseā¦.
Spectrum's Gamma form is where you are wanting to do your real work with this deck. But don't feel locked into it. Dive Bomb and Pitchback both work fine in any of your forms, allowing you to thwart and defend pretty liberally.
Since we are using Dive Bomb, we naturally include Honed Technique, which also improves Quick Strike and Pitchback. Using any of your Aggression attack cards in Photon form allows you to create the needed mental resources using your Energy Duplication.
As with any Spectrum deck, you'll need to keep on your toes and adapt to the situation but this is a decent tool box for approaching most villains.
When this deck was originally posted, I thought that Power of Aggression and Power of Flight could be used to generate double resources to pay for Wasp. Apparently an official ruling has said that those cards do not produce double resources for her because of how "overpaying" works.
I'm not a fan of this ruling, but if you follow it, you may want to sub Wasp out for Valkyrie or Sentry, as you will have a harder time using Wasp effectively.
