this is the deck I used to take on the FFG weekly one-shot challenge #7, “Breakin’ and Takin’: Ultimate Edition”: Defeat the Rhino villain while including the following modular encounter sets: Infinity Gauntlet, Flight, Super Strength, and Telepathy.
Handily took out Rhino on standard 1 and would certainly take him out on expert too. This was a fun one-shot with Rhino hitting for 5-13 per attack, although the number was really irrelevant as they were all just pointing off tough statuses. But with plenty of tough access, the only danger was piercing, which is available as a boost effect on 2 of the Flight Modular decks, hence the inclusion of two Target Acquired. The hero of this deck is Armor Up. Mulligan hard for it and save it when you get it. It is effectively Assess the Situation plus Invulnerability, from the tough that you get when your flip up to Hero form. The Invulnerability copies ensure you always have tough, which is crucial. Once Iron Will is down you are drawing at least one additional card per turn.
This was pretty fun and would be strong against any villain that just hits hard and doesn’t have much access to piercing.
