I have always wanted to give Thor a crack since I got him for Xmas last year and started to look around Marvel CBD for lists that looked like fun to play. Obviously "We Were Swinging" was the most popular deck when I was searching but there were a few cards I personally didn't think much of and I wanted to have an MCU kind of flavor to my deck - one that solely focuses on damage ouput. I also had a great time using the Collossus "Full Metal Alche-fist" deck in the Mutant Genesis campaign not only because I love how the big shiny metal guy plays, but for how well it also supported Hulk as an Ally. I only had few times where Hulk wasn't doing 5 damage to an enemy, so I tried to recreate the mainly melee resource type cards with this Thor deck to capatilze on that synergy. It also makes me think of the contest in the original MCU Avengers movie where it feels like a contest between Hulk and Thor to see who can do the most damage!

While browsing for cards to replace some from the "We Were Swinging" deck I was pleasantly surprised by Pitchback, which is a paltry 1 resource to play for 4 damage after making an attack! Thor pretty much has Aerial all the time with Mjolnir so it was a no brainer to use those as replacements. And as you want to be maximizing your Mean Swing or Skilled Strike, including a couple of Godlike Stamina is great for a free heal and Stun removal before you get started on hammer time. Limitless Stamina is another nice inclusion to use to get a few extra swings in there especially if you've managed to get Combat Training up and running. Also having Wolverine to remove Toughs is nice if you can afford it, or simply use a Piercing Strike if hes not on the board. The single Dive Bomb is also a reasonable addition as an alterative if you dont have any Hammer Throw and also requires Aerial which you should already have anyway. If you've got Hulk down, 20 odd points of damage a turn is a definite possibility.

This is my first deck and Ive had a few games with it and so far I like the way it plays. Im still pretty new to this and theres maybe some other cards that might be suited to this theme, so if you do please let me know in the comments. I'm a tinkerer/fine tuner so I welcome any suggestions on how to improve or cut the fat off.
