Three weeks ago I came to you all hot off the new Villain Theory episode talking about one of my new favorite cards, Mission Planning. Just the idea of the stuff you can do with this card seemed amazing, and the suggestion of using Spider-Man in a Miles Morales deck seemed like a lot of fun. Though I ran into quite a few issues (besides the fact I put in C.I.T.T.in there by accident...)
The biggest issue being just how difficult it felt to pilot the deck effectively, whilst also trying to keep out Peter. Now that problem came from a lot of things, including the fact that while I wanted to build that deck as a way to abuse the Peter Parker basic ally, in reality it was just a Web-Warrior Leadership deck that could do some fun shenanigans with Peter. He was not the focus despite being the namesake.
This time the deck leans much more heavily into the idea of either trying to keep peter alive and buffing him to make him even more useful. Failing that bringing him back with cards like Make the Call and Rapid Response to either bring him back or get an extra ready out of him.
There were a few reasons I decided to change heroes. One was Peni's interface upgrades, getting the bonus's to attacks and thwarting as well as being able to ready herself a decent bit even without the help of Peter, to get the engine rolling for him to come and help her sweep. Not to mention Peni always having access to at least 1 if not 2 recourses every turn makes it pretty dang easy to play Peter even if hard drawn.
Over all I'm quite happy with this speedy red mech I've made to fight for Spacenoid independence. And I hope that any of you willing to take a look at it can help me come to improve it further, or maybe even continue it on to different Web-Warrior Decks
