Reviews

Ms. Marvel was errata-d in Rules Reference 1.5 to say "return that event to your hand from your discard pile" instead of "return that event to your hand". This prevents the endless looping that was once possible with "Go for Champions!", which also received errata to remove itself from the game after being played.

The police won't come to your door if you continue to play these cards as printed, but for those who want to keep their games as official as possible, you should be aware of this change.

That was never possible to begin with. Part of the cost is to exhaust Ms. Marvel and deal 1 damage to her. Since each Champion character in play cannot take damage until the end of the round, and dealing 1 damage to her is part of the cost, you are unable to pay the cost. Therefore, you were never able to use her to loop Go for Champions! — dcarriger · 163
Once the distinction between "dealing" and "taking" damage was made, it was possible. Source: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2023/5/18/rules-reference-debrief-1/ — Stretch22 · 2629
You can't deal damage to someone who can't take damage. Yes there is a distinction, but there still has to be a valid target. — ProducePirate · 4
You are exactly correct. I'm just saying the errata was from before that was how the rules worked — Stretch22 · 2629

Ms. Marvel is absolutely disgusting in Daredevil when brought in through Cameo.

Daredevil has a signature attack event called Raising Hell that deals 2 damage for each upgrade attached to the villain, increased to 3 per upgrade if Daredevil has Aerial.

With all 4 of his Sense upgrades attached to the villain and Billy Club granting Aerial, that’s 12 damage(+2 for Raising Hell itself) for a total of 14 damage from a single event.

Here’s where Ms. Marvel comes in.

Her response lets you exhaust her and take 1 damage to return Raising Hell to your hand after playing it. Play it again and you’ve just dealt 24 damage in one turn.

The best part? You don’t need an elaborate readying engine. One activation of Ms. Marvel per turn is enough to tear through villain stages, especially in multiplayer.

Cameo guarantees access to her, Karen Page can recycle Raising Hell if you discard it early, and Make the Call can recover Ms. Marvel if she leaves play.

I’ve been running this in two-player expert games, and once Daredevil is built out, we’re consistently tearing through both villain stages in just 2–3 turns.

One of the nastiest Cameo interactions I’ve found.
