Dynamic Duo has breathed in some much welcome new life into the game's team-up cards, for solo players. I've had a lot of fun putting these funky, but frequently awkward, "max 1 per deck" cards on the table and enjoying their thematic effects. I always love rediscovering old cards.

From what I can tell, the community has typically viewed Daughters of Thanos as the poster child for "team-up cards aren't worth it in solo play." It's benefit of truly net positive card draw was overshadowed by the fact Gamora doesn't want Nebula to stick around long enough to find and play a one-of event.

But now? If you're Gamora, have five cards in hand, and one of them is Dynamic Duo, you can discard your hand to get a 2 HP, 2 THW, 2 ATK ally, and draw three cards. Sound familiar? It's Nick Fury!

Well, it's better than that, because Dynamic Duo gets both cards into your hand, and you can have 3x copies of it, so it's' more like Make the Call Nick Fury.

Well, it's better than that, because Dynamic Duo searches your deck and discard pile for both cards, allowing you to use it earlier and more consistently than Make the Call. So it's more like Suit Up Nick Fury.

Well, it's better than that, because Dynamic Duo isn't strictly an alter ego action and it's a basic card, meaning Gamora can do this in any form and any aspect. Not just AE leadership.

And it's even better than that because both characters are Guardians, meaning Gamora can get even more card draw from the interaction with Knowhere.

So yeah. It's a pretty good card in solo play now and you can do some powerful things with it. Or you can do what I did and build a "Build a Better Brains Over Brawn" deck, by boosting Gamora's base THW and including 2x copies of Go All Out to convert her that THW into late-game damage. By the time the deck is built out, GAO is dealing net 8 dmg (10 total) compared to BoB's 6. Also, GAO isn't tied to a basic THW, meaning being confused doesn't stop you from playing your damage card. Really just puts it to shame, but that's not really the star of the show here.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Nice deck, looks fun!

I have been playing with this same idea but in leadership. Still working on getting a deck built that is fun. Dynamic duo for solo play is probably best with Gamora, her sig ally is very cheap and her event only costs 1.

Chance Encounter is a great way to get Nebula in the fight more often, I hadn't thought of that one. I'll have give this one a try.

@branRONdon ooh, I bet this could get bonkers in leadership. I've always thought Nebula was an A+ signature ally, held back by the fact Gamora usually doesn't want to play leadership. Def post what you come up with, I'm looking forward to seeing other folks' ideas.

@corbintm and @Kole101 Hey, thanks for stopping by!

@ProducePirate Glad to help : )

@Castlefrank47 I bet there's some bonkers potential for this in leadership. I'll have to try that out. Thanks for stopping by! I think GAO is just a thematically fun card, so I like using it when I can, and Gamora has some interesting lines with it.
