AltG.I.R.L.
AltG.I.R.L. is a deck designed to stay in Alter-Ego for the entire game.
Pros:
- You can use the G.I.R.L. action every round. Nick and Professor X are discarded at the end of the round - shuffle them back into the deck. Moon Girl (or almost any other ally) is defeated by consequential damage - shuffle them back into the deck.
- You'll never have a problem playing Ingenuity or Moon Girl!
- You're drawing 6 cards every round (more if you play Moon Girl and/or Nick).
- When your Obligation is revealed you can always exhaust to remove it from the game because you didn't need to defend an attack.
Cons:
- You have to rely on your allies to do almost everything
- MOST of Wasp's cards can't be played, and MOST of the ones that can be played will have no impact on the game (except as a sacrifice to Caught Off Guard). Ant-Man is the only Wasp card which actually does anything.
Does it work?
That really depends on the villain and their mains!
- Expert Rhino: 5-0
- Standard Crossbones: 0-5
- Standard Absorbing Man: 3-0 but they were LONG games (16, 14, and 17 delay counters).
- Standard Taskmaster: 3-0
- Expert Taskmaster: 1-2 with pretty bad luck on the second loss (Taskmaster was confused, but drew Mimicry and Advance and schemed out).
Multiplayer
I tagged this deck as multiplayer because while it won't be able to remove all of the threat in a multiplayer game, it also doesn't have to deal all of the damage to the villain.
I feel it can remove enough threat and deal some chip damage here and there, but I've only tested it in three 2-handed solo games.
