Middle Aged Man Starts Collecting Swords
"It's not a midlife crisis, it's a special sword that chose me!"
I have been to Con of Heroes 3 times prior to 2026 and have yet to bring Iron Man, well that Fortune Changes this year! I wanted to leverage Change of Fortune and the great new cards CW added for Iron Man. Namely:

Yellow Jacket - Iron Man runs a lot of Upgrades and he has a printed ? Easy add!

Cuts Both Ways - helps generate some spiky damage in the villain phase and counts as defending...

Excelsior - The deck is loaded with and with Defiance and Cuts Both Ways counting as defending you can spend an energy to deal two damage to a minion in play before it gets to activate and trigger Change of Fortune!!!!

Hidden Base - There will be a couple of times you revisit AE, especially with Ready for a Fight, and getting a free tough is great for being able to tank villain hits.
And that is the main hook of the deck. I mainly like hitting a bunch of energy with Repulsor Blast in the player phase, and Cut down minions in the villain phase with Excelsior to reap rewards.
