This is an Iceman deck for the Winning Hand podcast episode 80. And before you comment, I know the title is a bit of a stretch for a pun, but I couldn't help it. I mean, an ice character and Air Cover? "Ozone" was right there!
I thought you could use the water in the air!
Iceman doesn't need to use the water in the air; he can use the fighter jets in the air instead. It turns out that Air Cover is pretty darn good for Iceman because it means that cards like Surprise Move are almost always enabled. You could similarly build around Take That! with Air Cover, but you'd probably want to go with Honed Technique instead of all the basic attack shenanigans here that are designed to maximize Iceman's ability.
I'm thirsty. I'm just getting a drink.
One problem I've had with Aggression Iceman in the past is having to flip down with so little threat removal in his kit. Instead of trying to solve the problem of threat removal, how about we just never flip down? In this deck, Iceman can easily "get his drink" by healing for 2 or more from every minion via Air Cover + Suppressing Fire and Moment of Triumph. These cards combined with Ice Wall, Frozen Solid, and Frostbite mean that you almost never have to recover, meaning you can stay in hero form and keep Ice Slide out all game!
He starts monologuing!
While the villain is busy monologuing, you can get consistent overkill damage in from Hand Cannon and Marked. This damage will be easy to come by with the 5-ATK you can get from Aggressive Conditioning, Combat Training, and Ice Slide.
Hopefully you enjoy the deck. If you have any feedback, ideas, or questions, feel free to leave comments!
