MC/DC SP//dr Thw/\rts
This deck can remove a lot of threat, but I'm not sure it can thwart for the table in a 4-player game (worked well in 2-player though). I'm taking this to MC/DC at the end of the week, and hope to pull or trade for the Alt-Art SP//dr while I'm there!
Ally Selection
All but 2 of my allies are WEB-WARRIOR, so I'll get a much needed card draw when they leave play once Web of Life and Destiny is in play.
- Ghost-Spider will find an Identity-specific event when she leaves play, and that will probably be Rapid Deployment (if it's still in the deck), but All Systems Go! is a very strong target too.
- Madame Web gives me "boost knowledge" to share with to the table.
- Spider-Man: Peter Parker (Justice) is not a WEB-WARRIOR and he's really expensive, but he'll take 12 off of a Side Scheme in a 4-player game, then thwart for 2 four times (or three times and a defend).
- Spider-Man: Pavitr Prabhakar can remove a decent amount of threat when he enters as well.
- Spider-Man: Otto Octavius readies any of my INTERFACE Upgrades, and if it's TECH as well (4 of the 5 are) I get to draw a card. This actually makes him 0-cost after the TECH ready (resource generator) and draw!
Event Selection
- Across the Spider-Verse is an "Auto-include"
- Even the Odds can be VERY good in 4-player, removing 4 from every side scheme (the rest is just a bit of gravy)! It's a dead card with no side schemes in play, but in 4-player the odds are higher to have one!
- For Justice! is good for 4 pretty much every time!
- Infiltration is good for up to 5 and is really versatile since you can choose the amount!
- Limitless Stamina is great, but I'm only running 2 to make room for Unshakable to help avoid being confused.
Superpower Training
Superpower Training is here mostly for Host Spider since it's the most expensive. Note that Spider-Man: Peter Parker (Justice) clears it by himself at every player count.
Support and Upgrades
- Web of Life and Destiny is another "Auto-include"
- Overwatch lets your thwarting do double-duty.
- As mentioned above, Unshakable staves off the first Confuse you take.
Thoughts
This worked well in 2-player with a dedicated attacker (which also did a little thwarting) with this deck doing a little attacking as well.
