This deck is designed to work with Gambit's inherent damage boosts via his Charge de Card hero ability. Using multi hit events like One by One and Melee, overkill style effects like Into the Fray, and his character specific Royal Flush and Charged Card, gives a ton of firepower to nuke one or all enemies on the board while keeping threat down with Into the Fray.

With 3 Def and great defense cards in his character deck you should be blocking when you can. All of his substantial damage is from his events and his "charge de card" ability boosting them, his basic attack feels like a wet (uncharged) noodle in comparison. Once you get his Gambit's Guild Armor and Gambit's Staff out it feels wasteful to not block.

Hall of Heroes is essential to get out ASAP. In my normal 3 player games I've drawn the 3 cards nearly every other turn, sometimes 2 turns in a row. Getting Hall and resources on the board is more important than damage to the villain in the first few turns. Remember to Charge de Card, it will build fast and will make for some scary nukes in just a turn or two.

Step one: setup

Step two: nuke

Step three: profit
