Dreadpool is a pain in the ass.
He just sits there attacking you all game, and he always gets away with it. In the past, the only way to get rid of him was to reveal the Anti-Regeneration Ray, spend to take control of it, and then use it to blank his text box. It's a big ask, and to be honest, I've never been able to pull it off. Normally, he just stays in play all game, getting flipped into an encounter card every once and a while just to relieve the pressure.
Cards like Vivian don't even work because he's elite. Nothing can get rid of this guy. That is, until now. With the release of Silk, we finally have a way to end this recurring nightmare.
Setting the Trap
Alright, so what's so special about Silk? Your first thought probably goes to her Hero action. Can she use that to tuck him? Nope. This specifically tucks cards from the discard pile, and Dreadpool's ability prevents him from going there in the first place.
Instead, there is a specific combo that we can do to trap him. It might seem complex at first, but its actually not that hard. It only requires 1 single card: Eidetic Memory.
It goes like this:
1) Defeat Dreadful Deeds, and tuck it.
2) Defeat Dreadpool and get him as an encounter card. Make sure Eidetic Memory is in play now.
3) When you reveal Dreadpool, use Eidetic Memory to swap him with Dreadful Deeds.
And like that, this mouthy merc finally shuts up!
He has had it too good for far too long. Time for some payback
The multiversal Loudmouth gets humbled by the spiderverse. Pure karmic justice!
The only catch is that you have to clear the side scheme twice, but that's it! If you clear everything right away, you will never be attacked by Dreadpool, or effected by the amplify icon! You can even, if you want, keep the side scheme in play to power up Laser Swords.
So, yeah. Neat, right? But did I really go this far just rambling about Silk's interactions with the Dreadpool mod set, and not even talk about the deck at all? There is an actual deck here, I swear. I didn't just throw some cards together just as an excuse to talk about this Dreadpool trap. Ok, well I did sort of did that. But the deck itself is good too! It's a pretty standard Web-Warrior Pool set up, nothing too abnormal here. But Cindy really synergizes with the package quite well. Lets go over some of the finer points.
Pink Spidey Club
Web-Warrior decks work great with Pool, since most of the best spider allies are in basic, and then you can run the triple resources to help pay for them. Keeping your health up enough for the resources is easy. She has a base defense of 3, which can be boosted with Spider Reflexes, and you have plenty of allies to block with. Any chip damage can be healed up by Healing Factor and Albert Moon if you flip down.
The allies here are among the best ones, and the ones I found most useful for Cindy. Scarlet Spider is particularly interesting, since you can use Eidetic Memory to swap encounter cards, then name the type that you swapped in for guaranteed card draw. Spider-Man can ready Organic Webbing / Stick-To-Itiveness to give Silk another ready, or Outwit / Spider Claws to get a second boosted thwart/ attack.
Face the Past has a cool combo with Headpool here. With 4 tucked cards, Headpool can poke Morlun and make him hit the villain for 5 damage each time!
In this deck, we are heavily relying on Silk's basic activations. Her identity upgrades and Laser Swords can boost them, and then she has a lot of ways to ready between Spider-Man, Stick-To-Itiveness, and Organic Webbing. With all of her upgrades out, you can easily do well over 20 damage a turn with just basic attacks. And with J. Jonah Jameson, Organic Webbing, and Outwit, you can easily handle threat.
There's other ways to boost her attack further. If you manage to acquire that Anti-Regeneration Ray, that's another +1 Atk. Then there's Superpower Training and Symbiote Suit. I didn't add them to this final version, but they are certainly good options!
All of these upgrades do take some time to set up. Luckily, she is survivable enough to get through those early turns as you prepare. Take your time to build up, and let loose when all your upgrades are out!
Crisis Averted
Alternatively, there are many cards in this deck that can get rid of Crisis of Infinite Deadpools before it even enters play. Get the Scoop, Albert Moon, and Spider Reflexes can all tuck it away, and Madame Web, Spider-Ham, Spider-Man, and Smooth as Silk can just discard it from the deck. So you can lower the chances of even seeing Dreadpool in the first place. Get in Front of Me! can also cancel Crisis of Infinite Deadpools or even Shadow of the Past.
So give this deck a try if it looks fun. Or don't. Make your own deck to trap Dreadpool. Since it doesn't require any deckbuilding cards to work, do whatever you want. If you are new and don't have all the cards, you could make a pretty good version of this with only 3 packs: Core set, Deadpool, and Silk. You could also run any aspect you want, and do this if someone else at the table is playing Pool.

I always treat Healing Factor as my solution to just ignoring Dreadpool. Who knew there was a delightful and convoluted other way? Thanks for spreading some 'Pool love
