I see the wonderful Carol Goes on A Recruiting Spree and thought “what if she does this with X-men and a partner with Gunnoat Diplomacy?” and here we are.
This is a deck meant to be played with at least one other player who is running Gunboat Diplomacy such as the Magik Gunboat (https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/45944/the-magik-gunboat-1.0) or Three Gunboats a turn? The goal here is to use the crazy amount of card draw and resources Captain Marvel has to get down the big X-men and X-Force allies.
Gunboat diplomacy lets the other player exhaust your allies. it also lets Captain Marvel pay the cost for the hero running the deck.
CotA allows for flexibility in which heroes to use.
Fantomex stays on the board with healings from EVA. EVA can add an extra threat removal or damage when Fantomex is used for gunboat.
Beast can pull energy absorption for Energy Channel.
Hope can pull energy channel to play after she has entered.
Paying for Sunspot with Energy Absorption is super satisfying.
Other allies would be flexible based on what the scenario needs and which basic allies the other players take.
Make the call is an easy replacement for 3 allies that would not be needed for the deck.
I haven't played MP but i absolutely love the idea here. Cap is so good for playing the expensive allies, really like this great work
