Ever since War Machine came out I’ve wanted to make a sneak attack style leadership deck with powerful allies that pop in and out!

Black Widow seems like the obvious fit since she benefits from Rapid Response and has the shield and avengers traits which tie to the strongest pop in and out allies.

The concept is simple:

Sneak attack in allies for powerful abilities at little cost. Then utilize readying affects to defeat those allies and then summons them back with rapid response or else discard the allies for additional damage!

Example late game turn I just had:

Sneak in Black panther. Attack Sneak attack. Sneak in Captain Marvel. Use command team to attack twice with Black Panther which defeats him. Summon him back with Rapid Response triggering Black widow. Attach sneak attack. Sneak attack Goliath. Attack with all three. I defeated phase two Klaw in one turn.

Some tips: flip to alter ego often so that you can take advantage Safe House and the preparation card draw. You can also sneak attack nick fury in alter ego with your shield trait!

updated Version: replaced Hawkeye with Power Man!

Some slight awkwardness with some of the interactions (e.g. you can't Rapid Response something that was Sneak Attacked or that used Go Down Swinging, etc.). Living the dream with Rapid Response, Sneak Attack, Black Panther, and a readying effect is pretty spicy, though.

I really don't like the lack of Energy, Genius, and Strength. They are too useful for treachery cards to ignore, and it mean you're not tied to three cards to safely play 8.

Although you could use Meditation instead.

Either way I'd cut 1× Rapid Response and the 2× Get Ready, and play a slightly slower but more consistent game with the Command Team as your key combo shenanigan piece.

@Fry yes they aren’t used together. One combo involves sneak attack, ready effects that damage out the ally and then rapid responding them into play. In another scenario Go down swinging is used after a sneak attack when I don’t want to or can’t ready again. They aren’t used at the same time. For example captain marvel can sneak attack in, pull a lightening resource, attack for 3 and then go down swinging. It’s also another card I pull for black panther (again when I need to specifically do a certain amount of damage)

@The_Wall Almost always the cards being played in this deck cost 1. I found that the cards I wanted in the deck were more important than the resources. So far I havnt missed them but you’re right if I wanted to add them I would definitely cut the get ready and one rapid response. I’ll try it out but I don’t think it’s necessary.
