This deck is all about supporting the whole table with card draw. Captain America is already a solid all-rounder, but here we're leaning into his alter-ego ability to make allies cheaper for everyone, not just ourselves. The real star is Maria Hill: by repeatedly bringing her into play, we can keep handing out cards to the entire team and help everyone get their engines running faster.
Maria Hill: The Gift That Keeps on Giving
Maria Hill is the centerpiece of the deck. When she enters play, everyone draws a card, which is excellent value in multiplayer. The trick is to keep bringing her back so that the table can benefit from that card draw over and over again.
Make the Call lets us bring Maria Hill back from the discard pile, while Rapid Response can bring her back after she leaves play. Regroup gives us another way to return her to hand, so we can keep replaying her whenever the opportunity arises.
Last Stand helps complete the loop. We can use it to make Maria Hill leave play, then use Make the Call to bring her back again. Between these cards, we have several ways to keep cycling Maria Hill through play and giving the whole table extra cards.
The benefit isn't just that we draw more cards ourselves. In a multiplayer game, every extra card can help a teammate afford an upgrade, find a key event, or get their engine going a turn earlier. The more players at the table, the more valuable this kind of support becomes.
Captain America: Team Player
Captain America's alter-ego ability is another important part of the strategy. By discounting allies played by ourselves or other players, we can help the whole table get allies into play more efficiently. That makes the deck more than a personal card-draw engine: we're actively helping our teammates develop their boards.
Regroup and the other ally-focused cards give us plenty of opportunities to take advantage of this. We can support our own board while helping other players get value from their allies, and the deck's card draw makes it easier to find the pieces we need.
Still Captain America
Even though the deck is built around support, Captain America can still pull his weight in the fight. His shield, Super-Soldier Serum, and other upgrades help him stay effective, while Heroic Strike and Shield Toss provide damage when the villain needs attention. Fearless Determination gives us another useful option when we need to contribute to the board.
The ally lineup provides additional utility. Ironheart, Kaluu, Vivian, Kid Omega, Mockingbird, Nick Fury, and Agent 13 all give us options beyond Maria Hill, so we're not completely dependent on drawing our central combo to be useful.
The Rest of the Deck
Mission Leader rewards us for defeating side schemes with extra card draw, giving us another way to keep cards flowing. Call for Backup and Evaluate Threat provide player side schemes to work with, while Avengers Compound, the Triskelion, Steve's Apartment, and Quincarrier round out the support package.
The main challenge is setting up the Maria Hill loop while still keeping Captain America active. Once the pieces are in place, however, the deck can generate a steady stream of extra cards and help teammates get their own strategies online.
Table Support is Captain America playing the role of team captain. Use his alter-ego ability to help everyone afford allies, then keep cycling Maria Hill to feed the whole table cards. You're still capable of fighting the villain yourself, but your biggest contribution is helping everyone else do their jobs better.
