I have been using this War Machine deck in two handed plays with Ironman Justice. I started playing against Rhino and as of this writing through Red Skull. No loses to this point. Actually have been crushing the villains most of the time. I have adjusted the deck a few times since playing against Rhino. I am sure it will be tweaked a few more times. I am writing this after taking down Red Skull, but I plan making notes on each Villain and what I change.
The more I play as War Machine the better I get to understand what works and what doesn't. I really like to get Munitions Bunker ASAP as this can store lots of ammo. Next I like to get Shoulder Canon. It is great for a free one hit to clear off Tough or weak Minion. But also late when I need to rip off a lot of damage.
Also, I like to get Upgraded Chassis out for all the flipping back and forth to get ammo.
Full Auto is great for the Overkill.
Targeted Strike is great for Threat removal.
When Alter Ego I shuffle in as many War Machine cards I can. Usually one when I flip down. Then one before I flip back up on the next round.
Gauntlet Guns are great to help play his Event cards out.
Scorched Earth is also great for clearing bigger minions.
Leo Fitz is great to get the Tech out there.
Nick Fury is always great to get extra card draw, chump block, and ping off some threat or damage.
Resource cards help put get cards to the table.
Assesses the Situation is helpful for the extra card draw in Hero form.
The rest of the cards are used but could but are not the core of what do to take down the villain.
Currently it is a 50 card deck. I think I can think of it down. Here are some notes against each villain.
Rhino: I don't remember this game much but I feel it was a time get to know War Machine. Mostly used Protection cards to not have him crush us.
Klaw: Also don't remember much here. Just surviving and dealing damage as much as possible.
Ultron: Minon control. Scorched Earth was used a lot. If I knew more about Shoulder Canon I could have used it a lot.
Risky Business: got through this one same as the previous ones. Still learning War Machine.
Mutigeon Formula: What a test. Focusing on get built up and surviving until it was time to strike.
Wrecking Crew: Good thing I had Protection as I felt I was getting hit a lot. But it worked out and eventually came out on top.
Crossbones: First off I think made a it of deck changes here or in the next game. This was also the start of the campaign so the next few villains were played using some buffed up cards going through the campaign. But against Crossbones there wasn't any buffed up.
