Overpowered Pacifist

Jessica Jones a pacifist?! After having her daughter, Jessica decided to never fight again and solve crime through illegally obtaining evidence. She got so much evidence that it was enough to put Ronan the Accuser in jail. But seriously, with this deck, Jessica Jones was able to defeat the kree fanatic without ever damaging him. Jessica Jones vs Expert Ronan

Strongest Deck for the Strongest Hero

Jessica Jones may very well be the new strongest hero in Marvel Champions and this is my attempt at building the strongest deck for her to embrace her overpowered-ness. With a printed THW of 3, REC of 4, and 11 hit points, Jessica has so much control that she can thwart out Ronan's schemes and tank his Fanaticism hits to the face turn after turn...

Side Schemes

Jessica's alternate win condition is having enough evidence counters on Alias Investigations, then defeating a side scheme to trigger its response. Because of this, we want to flood the deck with player side schemes, Manifold who can fetch player side schemes, and One Way or Another to reveal an encounter side scheme. It doesn't hurt that Jessica has a THW of 3 so she defeats most side schemes in one shot in true solo.

Grapnel Launcher

Crazy justice card tailor made for Jessica Jones! This card gets better the higher the hero's THW stat since Grapnel Launcher enhances your basic thwart by +1. For a hero with a THW of 2, Grapnel Launcher lets them thwart for 3. For Jessica Jones who has a THW 3, Grapnel Launcher lets her thwart for 4. And since for whatever reason it also counts as a basic thwart, Jess gets an evidence counter on Alias Investigations by using the Grapnel Launcher. That's not even the end of it--Grapnel Launcher is an upgrade so you can play and use it right away as if its an event or have it on the table saving it for a future turn when Jessica Jones is already exhausted and still perform a basic thwart. Oh, and it bypasses patrol and crisis icons too...yeah this card is bonkers.

Ready to Rumble

To capitalize off of Jessica's hax ability to flip down and back up every turn, we have to include Ready to Rumble to ready back up when flipping up to hero form after a basic recovery. Ready to Rumble is an upgrade but we can basically play it like an event. For example, if we start the turn in hero form, Jessica can thwart, flip down to AE, play Ready to Rumble, flip back up, trigger Ready to Rumble to ready and activate again. It's not as good as a straight ready like Limitless Stamina because Ready to Rumble can't ready us up before we flip down to alter-ego and can't be used several times per turn for several readies since we're only flipping up to hero form once. Because of this, I found running 3 copies of Ready to Rumble a bit clunky so just one copy here.

Sprint to the Finish Line

In my playthrough against Ronan, Jessica gathered 18 evidence counters to defeat his stage II, then 25 counters to defeat his stage III, all while having guard minions in play, Kree Combat Armor to reduce damage, and the tough status Ronan got at the start of the game. Jessica has so many ways to gain evidence counters, but I want to share my favorite combo to gain a huge burst to the finish:

Save the player side scheme, Run Them to Ground for the final round. Ideally we use Snooping Around (2 counters) to thwart it out, then with the response from Alias Investigations we can get 2 more counters. Jessica can use her basic thwart activation to get 1 more counter. Run Them to Ground skips the next villain phase, so we'll have another turn to gain evidence. Basic thwart, Snoop Around, and trigger the response from Alias Investigations for a 2nd turn in a row for 5 more evidence counters allowing us to get 10 quick counters to reach our goal of whatever the villains hit points are. With so many player side schemes, and side schemes that can tutor cards like Generation X, or side schemes like Second Chance to shuffle our identity-specific cards like Snooping Around back in, this combo is fairly consistent to pull off. If you have Breakthrough or upgrades like Grapnel Launcher/Ready to Rumble you should be able to get even more than 10 counters! Then sit back, and laugh at the villain sitting in jail that we never attacked...
