This deck has a ton of economy and has no trouble emptying its hand every turn. Her identity kit is great at keeping the threats in check, and you can consistently dig for her allies with Cerebro for extra thwart/block. Her Aggression events take care of damage especially if you managed to put Honed Technique in play, which not as essential to her gameplan as most other decks centered around this archetype, just a nice-to-have since she has easy access to blue ressources with her Psi-Knives and Power of the Mind.

This deck likes to flip every round, since reverting to Alter-Ego not only draws her 2 extra cards, but with Cerebro and Training Regimen you get another 2. If both your X-Men allies (Professor X and White Queen) are in your discard, use her Alter Ego action to shuffle them back in the deck, since they also both have the Psionic trait. Also, since this deck has very few allies to consistently chump block, you will probably need to Recover every couple of rounds.

Firepower is a win condition for big damage in the late game. She already has two weapon upgrade in play from setup, but exhausting them means losing ressources, so you are unlikely to use them in the early game unless you pulled a powerful minion and need to get rid of it ASAP. Her third weapon is Psimitar, which is likely to trigger every round normally, but since her Psi-Katana have the Restricted trait (but not of the Psi-Knife side), you might want to play Side-Holster at some point just to avoid getting stuck.

I rarely put 2 copies of Team-Building Exercise is any deck, but since half her deck has the Psionic trait (and Angel has the X-Force trait), you might never have a round where you couldn’t use them. Just keep in mind that they have a bit of anti-synergy with Honed Technique, but even with her identity cards and Psionic allies, they usually have a valid target every round.

If you want to cut the deck down to 40 cards, I would cut one copy of Power of the Mind (which often ends up being excess ressources in the late game) and the second copy of Honed Technique (that I added for consistency and to keep having a target for Martial Arts Training).

Mulligan You want to setup her economy first. The top priorities are

  • Cerebro
  • X-Gene
  • Martial Arts Training (probably pulling Honed Technique to play it on the first round)
  • First copy of Team-Building Exercise
  • Second copy of Team-Building Exercise
  • Honed Technique (if you didn’t pull Martial Art Training)
