Update: I made a couple of tweaks and edits to this build Since Fear No Evil released, I have been having so much fun playing Echo and saw just how versatile she is. She has become one of my favorite heroes to play with and now I hope to create builds in all 5 aspects that are viable in any game. This is my very first build for her that I created on my own. It took some tweaks and a lot of gameplay, but I believe I have created a powerful agression build for Echo!
Into The Fray, Hit & Run, and Drop Kick are all critical cards to pull from Maya's passive. They help in managing threat and doing some massive damage to enemies. Hit and Run is my go-to in removing threat and dealing quick damage. I pull Drop Kick if my hand consists primarily of strength resources and/or if I have Martial Prowess and American Sign Language down. Clobber, Piercing Strike, and Relentless Strike are fantastic in-hand cards you can play as they only cost 2 resources each. Clobber, when tucked under Echo, can even be played as a first card through Photographic Reflexes since it discards itself to play whatever card is tucked under Echo. It's important to understand that swapping from Alter-Ego to Hero Form allows you to grab an event of your choice from the deck for free, so understanding what is in your hand and what you need to be played immediately makes all the difference.
As stated before, Drop Kick is played if I have mainly strength resources. It deals 4 damage, stuns the enemy, and draws a card if you pay for it using only strength resources. Martial Prowess provides a free strength resource for an attack event. American Sign Language provides a free wild resource which can be substituted for a strength resource. Which means all I need is one more strength resource to play drop kick. And when using Photographic Reflexes to play Drop Kick from under Echo, all you need is either one strength resource on hand, Martial Prowess, or American Sign Language. Press the Advantage is an amazing follow-up to Drop Kick, putting in 2 extra damage and giving you one more card to draw. So, in total, you deal 6 damage, stun the enemy, and get two cards with this combo.
Piercing Strike and Clobber are easy 2-resource cards to play for quick damage to any enemy. Relentless Assault and Into the Fray are perfect against minions. Mockingbird ensures a free stun, Nick Fury and Snowguard are great for versatility (I play these allies primarily to take hits and thwart).
Specialized Training helps you get critical upgrades on the playing field. Martial Prowess, American Sign Language, and Echo's Katana are important upgrades to get as soon as possible to maximize Echo's effectiveness. Endurance helps give Echo extra hitpoints as she gets a decent recovery from The Rez. Choreography provides you with a free card if you are in Alter-Ego Form, so it works perfectly to jump into battle with an oversized hand.
I really hope you guys enjoy this build. As it is my first build, I am very much open to any tweaks and suggestions as I want to make this build as powerful as possible and make builds with Echo using other aspects. Enjoy punching, stunning, and beating up your enemies over and over again in a single phase!
