So I was looking for a decent candidate for Savage Strike, and I thought of Magneto. He does not have piercing in-kit, and he can often basic attack, as well as boost his ATK. He also prefers to use the Wrapped in Metal + Magnetic Missile combo on minions (or to finish them with Metal Shards for the tough kicker), so he can focus his basic attacks on the villain, piercing any toughness they have with Savage Strike.

We can boost his attack further with Specialized Training -> Combat Specialist and with Aggressive Conditioning, which also boosts his hit points and makes it easier to absorb damage and heal up with Asteroid M. Utopia is another ready for his basic attacks, and Cerebro gives us the X-Men we need to trigger it.

We should keep Psylocke or White Queen on the board with X-Mansion for long-term thwarting and a Psionic character so that Cerebro can search our entire deck.

Triage is another way to keep Emma, Betsy, or Gambit healthy (assuming Gambit gets a 2 or 3 boost), or even Goldballs (who is fun for helping us empty and reshuffle our deck when needed, or to discard better cards to shuffle in with Survivor). Magik's ability may not be very necessary, since again, we typically want to end minions with the wrap combo or with shards, but we can maybe grab her when we need to with Cerebro, and there may be more minions out in multiplayer. Sunfire and Tempus are tools in the toolbox. Professor X can give us another ready when we don't care to confuse the villain.

Hand Cannons allow us to keep our basic attacks strong even if we need to clear an excess of minions, or just funnel all that damage into the villain.

This deck has been really fun, hope you enjoy.
