An Eye on Every Threat: Nick Fury / Justice
Overview
This deck puts Director Nick Fury in his element: surrounded by his most trusted agents, coordinating a web of intelligence assets, and making sure nothing — nothing — catches him off guard. Built around the S.H.I.E.L.D. ally suite and tech/preparation upgrades, this is a control deck that wins through relentless thwarting and overwhelming board presence rather than raw burst damage. Justice is the natural home for Fury. His kit rewards building wide and playing smart, and Justice gives him the threat removal tools to keep schemes in check long enough for his network to come online.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. Network
The heart of the deck is its six-ally roster, every one of them a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative:
Maria Hill keeps your suit stocked up on threat
Agent Coulson finds your preparation cards
Mockingbird is your stun bot
Hawkeye provides minion control
Grant Ward's inevitable betrayal can be kept in check with Fury's watch
Nick Fury, Sr. gives card draw or a timely tough
The Preparation Engine
This deck leans hard into Fury's Preparation upgrade synergies. Sting Operation, Intelligence Analysis, Intelligence, Prism Dust, and Invisibility gear give you the tools to troubleshoot difficult minions and encounter cards. Secret Agent means all of those preparations also do a little thwarting while keeping your suit stocked up on threat.
Practiced plan and Agent Coulson allow you to recur and/or tutor critical preps.
Tech & Resource Infrastructure
Helicarrier and Team-Building Exercise dramatically reduce the cost of playing your S.H.I.E.L.D. ally-heavy gameplan.
Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons are your in-faction tech specialists — Fitz tutors your tech upgrades while Simmons provides resources to play Sonic rifle, Prism Dust, Invisibility gear, or Fury's 4 identity specific tech upgrades/supports.
Fury's Flying Car is critical - once you have heroic conditioning and/or intuition, you can routinely clear all threat with a double hero activation.
Player Side Schemes
Build Support and Evaluate Threat provide enormous value for their cost. Build Support accelerates your support-heavy game plan (Priority order: Flying car, Helicarrier, Sky Destroyer, Team-Building Exercise) , while Evaluate Threat allows you to tutor and cheaply play your best S.H.I.E.L.D. allies.
8 packs, 40 cards, all from the current environment.
Edited to swap out Prism Dust for 1 copy of Global Logistics. (Nick Fury is generally OK with minions scheming, so Global Logistics is usually more helpful). Face the Past is also an excellent addition because you can use Sting Operation on Fury’s nemesis. Melinda May is a good option for more encounter control.
