Listen Bub: This deck works best once the upgrades are in place. Until then, you’re just trading cuts. With upgrades on the table, you'll dictate the fight.
First thing’s first. Aggressive Conditioning, Adamantium Skeleton, Combat Training, and Endurance need to hit the table early. Doesn’t matter if you have to pitch aggression events or even an ally to make it happen. Short-term sacrifices, long-term pain for the villain. Use Wolverine’s Claws whenever possible to pay for hero events, you may bleed, but the villain inevitably pays the price.
Once those upgrades are down, Logan’s built the way he’s supposed to be. Twenty hit points, piercing attacks, and a serious boost to basic attack power. At that point every strike counts, and most enemies won’t last long enough to regret getting in the way.
Logan’s Cabin comes into play once the deck starts running thin on the first pass and most of the hero events are already spent. That’s when recycling matters. The card you want back more than anything is Lunging Strike; It hits hardest and is worth the HP sacrifice.
X-Jet is useful, but not critical. It helps cover the cost of allies or fuels events once the board’s set up. Think of it as a lil' something extra in the tank.
It is perfectly fine to hold-off on Berserker Rage until Logan’s sitting on a solid stack of health. With the healing factor doing its thing and the upgrades keeping him healthy and angry, the extra card during the villain phase turns into necessary violence. More cards means more carving.
Allies aren’t the focus here. They step in when things get messy or when the upgrades are already locked in and the deck’s ready to start hammering the villain every round with events and basic attacks. Otherwise, Logan handles the work himself.
One move worth remembering involves Clobber. Use Wolverine’s Claws to pay for it as the first play of the turn. When played first, the card comes right back to your hand. That means you can throw it again or burn it as a resource for the next hit. Either way, someone’s getting knocked around.
