Magneto (Protection) – “Magnetic Fortress”
This deck turns Magneto into a high-uptime defender who can ready often and control the board with his Magnetic kit. The core loop is to fire Magnetic Pull every round to fix your hand and fuel your Magnetic upgrades, then use Magneto’s Cape to ready and take a second key activation (defend again, attack, or clear threat).
Mulligan / early priorities:
- Magneto’s Cape (enables frequent ready turns)
- Magneto’s Helmet (helps pay for Magnetic cards)
- Economy/supports: Utopia, The X-Jet, Helicarrier (plus Forge to find supports)
- One early defense boost like Armored Vest if you expect pressure
Game plan: Stabilize with Magnetic Bubble and Protection readies (Indomitable, What Doesn’t Kill Me), then pivot into control and damage. Your standout control line is Wrapped in Metal (lock down a non-Elite minion) → Magnetic Missile (turn that minion into a big hit + stun). Ever Vigilant becomes a strong tempo card once Cape gives you Aerial.
Tips: Use Practiced Plan to recycle key preparations (like your ready/defense tech), and lean on your X-Men ally package with Utopia for extra board presence and tempo.
