Lion of Olympus boosts all Hercules' stats until the end of the round, including +1 DEF in the villain phase. Combined with Armored Vest and Defensive Conditioning, that's 5 DEF.
Five makes for a solid "Stop Hitting Yourself". Increase the power of this punch to 8 with zero cost event Expert Defense. That could level many a minion, quite the Change of Fortune!
Gauntlets of Hercules begins with retaliate 1 and grows stronger with each Gift gained. Cuts Both Ways adds an additional retaliate on a given attack. Ping an additional damage from Electrostatic Armor on each defense.
Herc's Helm requires no Gifts to be completed for its benefit, shaving 1 damage off an attack, making it easier to trigger Unflappable for card draw. Indomitable sits in play to ready after a defense, even if Hercules takes damage.
Jocasta holds a defense event until desired. Patriot's tough holds off an attack when a minion enters play.
