With the introduction of Patriot, the Villain Phase Minion Farming archetype has received a substantial shot-in-the-arm. The Elijah Bradley iteration of Patriot, a new protection ally introduced in the Civil War expansion, gains a tough card any time you engage a minion.
This makes him a strong contender for nearly any deck that leans into leveraging cards like "Come Get Me, Bub!" or Face the Past to pull minions out of the encounter deck, particularly when the intent is to farm those minions during the villain phase to proc Lethal Protector, Change of Fortune, or Winter Mask. Safe House #30 helps here, too for obvious reasons.
Once Patriot hits the board, he's generally there for the rest of the game, either using his tough card to block or to absorb consequential damage as the situation requires.
Between First Hit, Powerful Punch, and Arm Block, you have a host of attack cards that can be used for this purpose, with Black Widow and Jocasta to help pull those cards out of your discard.
Minion selection here is pretty standard, but i'd consider only Patriot and Jocasta as mandatory choices. The rest are all just solid value picks.
One card to consider pulling in is Sidearm to throw on Patriot since it'll provide you with some lasting value, but I'm not completely sold on it yet.
