Introduction
This deck is designed to showcase Wanda's abilities as a Mystic and the strength of Avenger allies.
Allies
Aggression Avengers Army, Assemble!
- Sentry hits hard and stays on the board a long time.
- Spider-Girl is affordable and efficient.
- Thor (Jane) beats the vanilla test and does a little extra damage, as a treat.
- Thor (Odinson) is an absolute monster even if we never need his kicker ability.
- Tigra stays on the board all day long, just massacring minions left and right.
- Valkyrie is a more affordable version of Jane Foster.
- Wasp is simultaneously very flexible and very efficient.
Events
- Basic Spell is here because we're a Mystic, gosh darn it. This isn't the most efficient card, but we're including it for the versatility and theme.
- Magic Attack is a bit risky to use if we're not tracking our deck, but Wanda is all about that YOLO lifestyle.
- Spiritual Meditation, a Mystic exclusive, is one of the best cards in the game. It's a free cantrip that scries so we can find the important parts of our deck faster.
Resources
- We're bringing the standard doubles, which will serve us well.
- We have enough expensive Aggression cards to justify one Power of Aggression, and our hand-fixing abilities help justify the second. This is especially potent for Wasp.
Supports
- Avengers Tower discounts all of our beefy allies and lets us increase our ally limit to 4.
- Boot Camp turns our 3 ATK allies into 4 ATK allies, which is a pretty crazy amount of damage.
- Crew Quarters helps shore up Wanda's main weakness; she's quite squishy.
- Quincarrier helps hit the resource-specific kickers on our allies.
Upgrades
- Deft Focus pays for Hex Bolt and Warp Reality. Normally we'd want more targets, but Wanda plays Hex Bolt and Warp Reality every single time they show up, so we'll definitely get a solid ROI.
- Endurance makes us less squishy. Think of it as a 1-cost heal.
- The Sorcerer Supreme requires no introduction.
Sideboard
- Bring Combat Training if we're playing with somebody who needs it, such as Pietro.
- Add Order and Chaos if playing with Pietro.
- Add Helicarrier if we expect the game to go long enough to benefit from another resource generator.
