The goal of this deck is to Redeem a full-health Furnax. To do so, you need to play Show of Empathy as soon as it comes to hand and let it sit until you're ready. Then play Face the Past when you have enough ability on the board or in your hand to thwart 6!

This gives you a 2 THW, 2 ATK ally with 6 hit points, with plenty of time to find and play Honorary Guardian on him to give him 1 extra hit point.

Playing the deck

I don't really need to see Face the Past early because I need to build up a bit first. I DO want to see Show of Empathy as early as possible so I can play it and forget about it until I'm ready, so I'll Mulligan hard for it.

Heroic Intuition early is fine too!

Of course, you also need to think about winning the game, so allies are always appreciated early.

I also like to basic Defend with Groot as much as I can too in order to build up my Growth Counters. This makes Vine Shield good too, but not necessary unless you're facing someone who hits REALLY hard!
