Enter the Spider-Verse! First up we have the amazing Ghost-Spider!

Allies: First up, I’ve included a couple of staple Web-Warriors, including Scarlet Spider Kaine to make up for Ghost-Spider’s lack of resource generation and to support her already great card draw. Silk obviously to get rid of a nasty treachery for a cheap cost, SP//dr to give yourself an extra option and a reuseable ally. Spider-Man Hobie for the damage outburst, Peter to ready up on top of Ghost-Spider’s already great readying ability and an energy shield to make sure he doesn’t get defeated, and Otto to ready her bracelets, but mainly for the extra card.

Use Peter to ready up after a busy round of defending, and Otto to ready her bracelet for a card, then play a response event after using a basic attack or thwart, to also draw another card.

I’ve also included staple Web-Warrior cards like Across the Spider-Verse and Web of Life and Destiny to get those allies into play and get even more card draw.

Events: As this is a Change of Fortune deck, I’ve added 3 copies of “Come Get Me, Bub!” to get those minions out and to start benefitting form the rest of the cards in the deck. I included 2 copies of each of the main events. First Hit to take out the weaker minions with no extra conditions but that they have to activate, Powerful Punch and if you want to add two copies of it, “Stop Hitting Yourself”, to take out the tougher minions. if you want to boost the attack power of “Stop Hitting Yourself”, include 3 copies of Expert defense to boost your basic defense deal 7 damage to a really tough minion, but you should be able to cripple them during the player phase using your allies, and knock them out during the villain phase. Riposte can help you negate damage while dealing it, and with Flow Like Water you can take that damage up to 4, just like Powerful Punch (The only other defense card) is taken up to 5. If you’d rather play Counter Punch, which for this deck has the same attack value as First Hit, you can swap this in, but I prefer First Hit because it has a chance to prevent a minion attack without you needing to defend, (unlike “Stop Hitting Yourself”, and technically Riposte since it requires you to defend) even though First Hit costs one extra resource.

Support: I always get torn up which protection support to play. I usually go with 1 or 2 copies of Med Team and the Night Nurse to heal up without changing to Alter Ego, but with Ready for a Fight, there is almost no downside in flipping back. Flip over and recover, then use Angel’s Aerie to heal up a ton of damage and be ready to flip back before the villain schemes with Ready for a Fight. But save the Night Nurse for Stunned and Confused Status that you get while in hero form.

Upgrades: Of course, I added Armoured Vest to get a higher base defense to help out cards like Riposte and “Stop Hitting Yourself”, while also making sure you don’t take as much damage. Change of Fortune is obvious because it is the backbone of the whole deck, upping Gwen’s card draw immensely from 5 in hero form, to 1 or 2 extra from her bracelets, 1 extra from Unflappable, 2 extra from Change of Fortune, which puts it at 9 or 10, potentially 1 more from Scarlet Spider, the occasional from Web of Life and Destiny and the one extra card from Spider-Man Otto. Energy Shield is of course to keep Spider-Man Peter Alive to make sure Gwen is always ready, Flow like Water to boost our defense/attack events, Ready for a Fight to flip over and recovery in one quick turn, and flip back without adding any extra threat, Under Control is there just in case you need to take down any other minions and you don’t know whether you’ll draw into anything before the villain phase (It’s essentially just to be safe) and as previously mentioned, the card draw from Unflappable.

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy this deck!
