This X-men tribal build is not optimal—Cable is causing more problems for his parents…oh, well. For me it is a thematic inclusion. Gambit is probably an excellent substitute. (I also lack some other X-Men, i.e. Beast, Beak, etc.)
I focused on Psionic characters as well, but then added Forge, Triage, and Pixie for utility. Team-Building Exercise is valuable because it triggers for both Psionic and X-Men traits—23 of the 40 cards in the deck, not including the 0-cost Psychic Kicker, which of course works wonderfully with all of these allies.
