My official deck for Season 17, Round 5 of solo champions league

  • Villain: Venom Goblin + Longshot + Symbiotic Strength
  • Difficulty: Expert
  • Hero: Ironherat, Nova, Phoenix, Shadowcat, Spider-Ham, or Venom
  • Aspect: Justice

Games

  • Game 1: 9 turns, 18 HP on the hero side, clear board. Didn't get Brawn until the late game, but got a nice early Monica Chang and had Longshot show up without having to set him up via Global Logistics
  • Game 2: 9 turns, 17 HP on the hero side, clear board. Stayed down T1 and pulled swinging assault as my first of three encounter cards, defended and drew a 3 boost, so I was a bit scared right out the gate. Things calmed down pretty quickly after that with lots of flipping facilitated by Global Logistics
  • Game 3: 10 turns, 9 HP, clear board. I was on the ropes for most of the game with high threat on the main schemes and Symbiotic Monstrosity on the board for most of the first 6 turns. I really should have waited one more turn to deal the finishing blow. I got impatient and just wanted to end it but it would have been very easy to go 11 turns and get max health points.

Tips:

  • You're trying to stabilize, get in ping damage, and collect progress counter in your Mark III armor so that you can skip right through Gobby's Stage 3 in one turn
  • You can ignore Violent Tendencies because the slow damage push can come from just Photon Blasters before you go for lethal
  • Other than the usual tip of getting counters early as much as possible, I also prioritized Global Logistics as much as possible, which was good for encounter cards and avoiding bad boost effects. It also usually meant I could set myself up to get Longshot
  • First Aid (thanks Jarratt!) is in there to extend Brawn's lifetime and provide additional resources for progress counters and Moon Girl
