Really turning up the pace for the off meta hero/aspect is this Cyclops Protection deck. Well I say protection but let's be honest any Cyclopes deck is basically a Leadership deck. So What makes this a Cyclopes besides the absurd amount of allies? Well a few things.

The first thing that makes it is Pinned Down. With it being a tactic card it's a nice one to target on turn one with villains who start with a minion in play like Klaw Zola and Green Goblin.

The second card is Mutant Protectors. With 9 X-Men allies good chance you'll draw into a target and with 3 of those allies providing toughness they'll probably be around next round. It also combos nicely with Utopia to cheat in some of those more expensive allies and get a ready out of it. Heck maybe just cheat an expensive ally in on a minion with Pinned Down attached.

I don't think Subdue is well thought of because it lacks the Defense trait, but that's okay with this deck. Use it to maybe keep tough on a character or in multiplayer to help soften the blow for your partner(s).

Team-Building Exercise is kind of there because it has plenty of targets but it could be switched out for a number of cards. Maybe Build Support to dig out Utopia or The X-Jet. Could also run Forge comboing him with Mutant Protectors to also dig for one of those two cards. Heck the whole ally list could be swapped out for any number of X-Men allies to suit who you want. Notable missing X-Men allies are Wolverine Professor X and Beast.
