Float like a butterfly

The basic idea is that float like a butterfly adds damage to attacks the same way gambits counters do. This means royal flush does 3 X 4 = 12 when the enemy is confused using the max 3 tokens. Gambit also finds it easy to confuse the villain because of creole charmer. There is also upside the head and allies with confuse to help get that going. Gambit can use breaking and entering in either form so he can duck down for a while and use those confuses to rest if needed, and put out any allies to get their training from danger room. If Allies thwart then gambit can either heal, defend or attack with upside the head.
