One of our favorite elements of Marvel Champions is how the most difficult challenges require teams of players to work together starting with their deck building process. After six weeks of getting smacked around by Rhino, Heroic 3, we decided to try what seemed like a crazy aspect combination - double Leadership.

While our first series of attempts during week 6 all failed, we learned an important lesson. There was a turn where I had a few allies out and was able to pull off a really big turn with Avengers Assemble. So, we came back for week 7 with a new, macro-level strategy to have one player (Steven) work to buy me time in order to get a decent board of allies in play and make as much use out of Avengers Assemble and Lead from the Front as possible.

In the early stage of a game, this deck is looking to get as many of its resource supports (and Super Soldier Serums) into play as possible. By the mid-game, it wants to keep allies on the table (instead of just blocking with them) by leaning on the other player to block and play cards like First Aid or Honorary Avenger. This sets the deck up for turns where both players can play Lead from the Front for this deck and a big drop of Avengers Assemble.

Paired with Cap's ability to ready himself, the amount of threat or damage this deck can do in a single turn is mind-bending. You can watch us going through the cooperative deck building process and then see this deck in action on week 7 of our series against Rhino Heroic 3, or you can skip to our final game of the stream to see Steven upgrade to Doctor Strange and take this team to an entirely new dimension.
