We began this process by running all decks since 6 months ago on MarvelCDB and discovered that among the Protection aspect, the highest War Machine deck was sitting at a 28% win rate vs Klaw Standard with Anachronauts.
In a thread on the Marvel Champions LCG Community Server, several users came together and came up with over a dozen deck concepts for the AI to test. This particular deck was able to achieve a 67% win rate.
I will always be open to additional attempts to find a better War Machine Protection deck and if you feel you have an idea that you'd like me to simulate to see how well it performs, please reach out!

Mar 11, 2023I used a random generator to pick my setup today for 2-handed solo. Drew Ultron with Legions of Hel vs Spider-Woman Leadership/Aggression and War Machine Protection. Never tried a war machine protection deck before, as I didn't think it to really be a viable combination. But I tried this deck and the SW Leader of the A-Force deck, and WOW! They completely annihilated Ultron and his drones. Specifically, getting Daredevil on the table early gave me a free drone defend/defeat every turn. The munitions bunker came out in the first hand, so I flipped every other turn to maximize the ammo counters. I was clearing out every drone on every turn with the ammo. Brother Voodoo also helped get some events into hand late game. Spider-Woman ended up cleaning up threat most turns and then had a timely Avengers Assemble to rush Ultron down at the end of the game. This was an unlikely combo that I was really impressed with! |
Mar 11, 2023Oh, I forgot to add that the energy barrier pinged off drones along with daredevil and the ammo. Super efficient at protecting both WM and SW |
