My biggest problem with rocket has always been that he is squishy. A couple attacks could knock him dead, and defending is not his forte (with 1 def stat and no boost in his kit). I then got the idea that rather than preventing damage to just stock the deck with a bunch of stuff to keep him healthy, and keep him lethal.

This deck truly points out how versatile rocket can be. Use med team and momentum shift to bump Rocket's health up to full if he's taken a hit, or make sure he's got an ally or two out to take the big attacks when they come.

Hard knocks is great for minion removal, and with some coordination can give you both a tough and card draw. Fighting fit is essential for taking chunks out of the villains health for cheap, especially with all of Rocket's resource generation.

Starting to get too much threat? not a problem! Drop your thruster boots and I've got a plan to remove 7 threat and get back to fighting!

Ally's can be interchangeable, but I like Groot since he can sometimes be out for a long time soaking up the weaker attacks, Gamora can help fetch events if you're lacking, martinex is cheap and good for pinging off tough's, and starhawk can be great for buffing your hand when hes been defeated.
