This deck is part of Project Post-con: building a ready to use deck for each existing hero, just using the available card copies of buying each pack once. This does not only enable fast pick-and-play, but it also makes each deck feel unique, as not everyone is using the same powerhouse cards. Each deck is intended to be fun and usable in expert mode, but none will be the absolute strongest possible due to the card limitations. Looking for other decks? Search for the Post-con tag.

First thing that jumped out at me about this deck is that it has a really high cost curve, with no resource generation other than The Eye of Agamotto. How did it fare against some of the tougher scenarios?

Never had any issues with the cost curve so far. (I play almost all games on expert, majority of the time 2 player or 2-handed. But of course with the large number of decks in the project, I have not done every villain with each deck. As a reference, I've done most of MTS on expert with Strange. Have not tried GWM with this deck yet.). Cost curve is certainly not cheap, but with only 3 cards above 3-cost and slightly half of the cards being 2 or less, it's not that extreme either.

While Eye of Agamotto is indeed the only real resource generator in the strict sense, the Sorcerer Supreme and Sanctum Sanctorum both give additional card draw (depending on whether hero/alter-ego), which basically works as a resource generator as well. This allows the addition of more 3-cost cards than some other heroes. I used to have a copy of Avenger's Mansion in here as well, but decided to give it to another hero that needed it more, as Strange is so powerful anyway (and my goal was to balance across the heroes).

Besides this, his invocations are not only powerful (including the one that gives insane card draw to to further utilise the higher cost cards), but they basically expand his hand further as those cards are usable, but don't take up hand space. As a result, when spending on higher cost cards, you still have the resources left to then use on the invocations (most of which are also quite cheap).
