Tony Learned to Meditate
This deck is a standard protection tech deck. Meditate in your highest cost cards. Meditate over the mantra “Forcefield Generator”…or whatever 3+ cost card you mulligan into. There is no wrong target for Meditation…except for Moon Girl unless you really need that 2 THW.
Use Allies to Thwart
Early villain phases are sometimes spent in alter ego. So it’s important to have allies out to thwart down that result. It’s usually 3-4 threat placed per scheme, so two allies can help mitigate that. Granted, that’s not always the case, but still important.
Blast Your Way to Resources
Use Repulsor Blast to do damage and recuperate the cost through Digging Deep and White Tiger. I don’t know if Tony’s Futurist ability would trigger those cards. I tested where it didn’t, but if it does, that’s even better.
Edit: After reading the rules for “Look” in 1.5, I believe Futurist does trigger White Fox and Digging Deep when discarded since it still belongs to the top of the deck.
Use Your Tech
Especially once you have your suit, let your Forcefield Generator do the defending and crush the villain.
Tony has expensive cards, use allies to cover threat so you can flip down, use Meditation to get those cards into play. Also, Arc Reactor will always make sure you’re ready when you flip down for meditation…just in case you had to use his 1 DEF.

Mar 02, 2024Meditation with Tony is actually really smart. Great way to cheat out your HP armor, Rhodes, and Pepper! I'm kinda surprised you picked Widow over Nova or Luke Cage though, I've been using them with Repurpose and they are incredibly good. I also wanna say that Digging Deep on Tony seems really good on paper. It essentially reads "futurist has a downside? LMAO no ty." |
Mar 03, 2024Thanks, But, 41/42 cards can still make for a fun deck if you want to throw them in the mix! |
Mar 30, 2024I’m super glad to hear that, |
Another awesome deck I can't wait to try out! I actually also just built a Meditation deck, (before I even saw the NelsonAllOver video). Brilliant thinking to pair Meditation with the Futurist ability to guarantee you always have good targets.
